FURY REMAINS UNBEATEN!!

     The Fury dominated play in the first half of the game, but gave up a goal just before half time.  The girls were determined to come back and they came out even stronger in the second half.  Janee' Fabian scored after a beautiful pass from Mackenzie Fredericks.  Goaltender Madison  Thornton hung tough in goal saving all shots on her in the second half.  The game ending in a 1-1 tie.

FURY OPENS SEASON WITH A WIN!!

     The U10 girls home opener was played against GCVSA with the Fury coming out on top with a 1 - 0 win.  The lone goal came out of a scramble in front of the goal after a corner kick from Alyssa Blair.  Mackenzie Fredricks was planted in front of the goal and wasted no time sending the ball to the back of the net putting the Fury ahead.  The team continued creating many offensive opportunities while playing strong defense.  Goaltenders Janee' Fabian and Madison Thornton were credited with the shut out.  Way to go girls! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

FURY WINS RIDLEY TOURNAMENT!

Congrats to all the players for their continued hard work and dedication to the game of soccer!  The girls participated in the Ridley Soccer Tournament on August 12th.  They won their first game against Rosetree 1-0.  The second game was played against BYC and the Fury won 6-1!  The 2 wins put them in the championship game against Aston.  It was an awesome match and after 50 minutes the game was still tied 0-0.  For the first time our girls experienced a shoot out.  Maddie, our goaltender, was able to stop 2of the first 5 shots against her while her teammates Alyssa, Janee', Theresa, Marissa, and Mackenzie took their shots on the Aston goalie and also scored three!  The shots went back and forth for both teams.  Bobbie and Kelly each scored and Aston's next shot was saved by Maddie.  Maddie then took her turn and blasted the winning goal into the net!
